1. About Between the Appointments

Between the Appointments is a cancer navigation and somatic support practice. Our services are provided by Sarah, a certified cancer navigator (ACS LION, in progress) and Sacred Somatics practitioner who is a breast cancer survivor. We serve clients in the Northshore/Slidell, Louisiana area and virtually.

2. Scope of Services — Important Disclaimer

Between the Appointments provides cancer navigation support and somatic wellness services. We are NOT a medical practice, mental health practice, or therapy service. Specifically:

  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

  • We do not provide therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment

  • We do not prescribe medications or supplements

  • We do not replace your oncologist, physician, therapist, or other licensed healthcare providers

  • Somatic support sessions are wellness-based and do not constitute clinical EMDR or psychotherapy; any EMDR-informed techniques used are not clinical EMDR and require no prior diagnosis


Our role is to help you understand your diagnosis, prepare for appointments, ask better questions, and support your nervous system during a difficult time. All medical decisions remain with you and your licensed healthcare team.

3. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Cancer navigation and somatic support services are supportive in nature. Between the Appointments makes no guarantees regarding health outcomes, treatment results, or the accuracy of information provided. Information shared during sessions is based on general knowledge and lived experience, not individualized medical opinion.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all medical decisions and should consult your licensed healthcare providers before making changes to your treatment plan

  • You agree to provide accurate information during intake and sessions

  • You understand that services are not a substitute for emergency care — if you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911

5. Payment and Cancellation

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session may be subject to a cancellation fee

  • Digital products (workbooks, add-ons) are non-refundable once delivered

  • Refund requests for sessions will be considered on a case-by-case basis

6. Confidentiality

Information shared in sessions is kept confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Between the Appointments is not a HIPAA-covered entity; however, we treat all health-related information with the strictest discretion and do not share your information without your written consent except as required by law.

7. Website Disclaimer

Content on our website, blog, and social media is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Always consult your healthcare team before acting on health-related information.
